Configure the interrupt affinity settings of a host

This feature enables you to assign the interrupts that support affinity settings to the specified CPUs. After that, the interrupt requests will be processed by the specified CPUs. As a best practice, do not assign the interrupts to isolated CPUs to make sure that the interrupts do not affect the tasks on the isolated CPUs.

Procedure

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Compute.

  2. From the left navigation pane, select Resource Navigation > All > Resources > Host Pool Name > Host Name or Resource Navigation > All > Resources > Host Pool Name > Cluster Name > Host Name.

  3. Click the Advanced tab.

  4. Click the Interrupt Affinity tab.

  5. Configure the interrupt affinity state.

If you enable interrupt affinity, click Edit in the Actions column for a minimum of one NUMA node to configure the CPUs bound to the interrupt.

  6. Click Save.
