Manage VM/host groups

Operators can use VM or host groups to limit the scope of VM-VM affinity rules or host rules.

Add a VM/host group

1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select Cluster Management > Affinity Rules > VM/Host Groups.

2. Click Add.

3. Configure the group parameters as described in "Parameters."

4. Click OK.

Edit a VM/host group

1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select Cluster Management > Affinity Rules > VM/Host Groups.

2. Click the Edit icon  for a group.

3. Edit the group parameters as described in "Parameters."

4. Click OK.

Delete a VM/host group

1. On the top navigation bar, click Hosts, and then select Cluster Management > Affinity Rules > VM/Host Groups.

2. Click the Delete icon  for a group.

3. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Parameters

• Type: Select a group type. Options include VM Group and Host Group.

• VM List: Select VMs to be added to the VM group.

• Host List: Select hosts to be added to the host group.
